Dried porcini mushrooms
The dried boletus, Latin name Boletus edulis, is carefully sorted by hand and is subject to rigorous selection at PLANTIN.
It is an excellent mushroom with a mild nutty flavor.
Rehydrate for about 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly.
Then fry them in the pan with garlic and parsley for a real treat as an accompaniment to meat or poultry.
Dried porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis)
In a dry place away from heat, porcini mushrooms can be kept for up to 18 months.
The right amount
The boletus, by rehydrating, will gain 3.5 times its weight. 10 grams of dried porcini mushrooms will be equivalent to approximately 35 grams of fresh porcini mushrooms.
