Dried porcini mushrooms
The dried porcini, Latin name Boletus edulis, is carefully handpicked and rigorously selected at PLANTIN.
It is an excellent mushroom with a sweet nutty flavor.
Rehydrate for about 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly.
Then fry them in a pan with garlic and parsley for a real treat as an accompaniment to meat or poultry.

In a dry place away from heat, porcini mushrooms can be stored for up to 18 months.
The right amount
The porcini, by rehydrating, will gain 3.5 times its weight. 10 grams of dried porcini mushrooms will be equivalent to approximately 35 grams of fresh porcini mushrooms.
