Fir Tree Syrup from the Pyrenees


From an ancestral recipe from the Pyrenees, the Fir Tree Syrup LAGRIMUS is obtained after the Albies Alba fir tree cones are macerated in sugar for several months, in order to extract the sap and the resin. The wild fir cones are harvested by hand, in the high mountains, at over 1700m in altitude, in the middle of the Canigou Massif, in the Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees.
